Bridging the Centuries

Pop-Up Opera Recitals
is VTO's signature community outreach program, bringing professional singers and pianists directly to senior centers, retirement communities, assisted living facilities, and acute care hospitals for 50-minute live recitals. In many facilities, performances are live-streamed to bed-ridden residents unable to leave their rooms. At acute care facilities, staff wheel residents into the recital space in their hospital beds. VTO also provides holiday performances for a local women's shelter each year. View Upcoming Events
Golondrina the Opera
Bring Los Angeles history to life through music with Golondrina, a compelling opera by L.C. Harnsberger set in 1920s downtown LA. Based on true events, the story follows Christine Sterling’s fight to preserve Olvera Street from demolition—ultimately transforming it into one of the city’s most treasured cultural landmarks.
A 50-minute scholastic edition of Golondrina is available for performances at schools and institutions. Give students the story of Olvera Street told through the magic of opera. Contact Vineyard Touring Opera for more information.
